ABOUT NSS-MLNCE
The NSS Unit of MLNCE College has made a remarkable footprint and is devoted to community services and developmental services. While making a contribution to socio-economic progress, would also provide opportunities to the students to understand and appreciate the problems of the students to understand and appreciate the problems of the communities, awaken social consciousness and inculcate in them the sense of dignity of labor.
The Motto of the NSS - MLNCE is ‘Not Me But You’. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. It emphasizes that the welfare of an individual ultimately leads to the welfare of society.
With a team of around 100 self-motivated volunteers who are determined to bring a change in the society, it aims at:
Ø To develop a sense of participation, service, and achievement among the volunteers.
Ø Spreading Smile.
Ø Propagating the idea of clean India in order to make a better place to live for all.
Ø To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in the problem-solving process.
Ø Providing opportunities to the students to play their role in planning and executing development projects which would not only help in creating durable community assets in rural areas and urban slums but also results in the improvement of quality of life of the economically and socially weaker sections of the community.

NSS ACTIVITIES:
1. UDAAN
(MEGA SANITARY NAPKINS DISTRIBUTION & AWARENESS DRIVE)
The Sanitary Pads distribution and awareness programme - UDAAN was organised by the NSS unit of MLNCE to aware both genders of the society. The awareness drive started with the inaugural address of our college Principal Prof. Vichitra and Programme Officer Dr. Pintu Kumar.
In her address to college staff and students she pointed on how this menstrual cycle is a process of purity and not a period of impurity. The students felt enlightened after learning a new perspective towards this taboo.
The volunteers did an excellent deed by spreading the awareness on why women and adolescent girls needs to use a clean menstrual management material to absorb or collect menstrual blood, that can be changed in privacy as often as necessary, using soap and water for washing the body as required, and having access to safe and convenient facilities to dispose of used menstrual management materials. By the help of our team the unaware section of these above mentioned slums learnt the basic facts linked to the menstrual cycle and how to manage it *"with dignity* and *without discomfort or fear.”
2. CLOTHES DONATION & DISTRIBUTION DRIVE
मोतीलाल नेहरू (सांध्य)महाविद्यालय की राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना(NSS) इकाई के द्वारा एक कदम उठाया गया जिसमे कुछ जरूरतमंद लोगों की सहायता बर्तन, कपड़े, जूते लोगों को प्रदान की गयी. इकाई को बांटा गया था। जिसमे एक भाग ने IIT, RK PURAM, एवं MUNIRKA में यह कार्य सफल किया।
ठीक उसी प्रकार दूसरी तरफ एक भाग के सदस्यों ने अन्य क्षेत्रों मे कपड़े एवं बर्तन जरूरत मंदों को देकर उनका आशीष व उनकी दुआएं प्राप्त की। इस पहल का आयोजन हमारे NSS विभाग के संयोजक डॉ.पिंटू कुमार जी के नेत्रत्व मे किया गया और साथ ही हमारे महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्य Prof. विचित्रा गुप्ता जी को जाता है जो हमको इस नेक काम के लिए स्वीक्रति प्रदान की।
3. HAR GHAR DHYAAN
Team NSS MLNCE was invited to attend Programme on Meditation & Mental Health under 'Har Ghar Dhyan' with the august presence of the chief guest and speaker Param Shraddhyay Shri Shri Ravi Shankar Ji and Manohar Lal Khattar Ji (CM of Haryana) on 3rd March 2023 at Multipurpose Hall.
4. CAN SUPPORT
NSS MLNCE delighted to share that NSS members Volunteering with cansupport Walk for life which took place 19 February at Kartavya Marg New Delhi. Heart was filled with joy to see the cancer survivors and rejoice life to music at Kartavya Marg to show there is life after cancer! Their victory is the true triumph to rejoice!
5. CLEANLINESS DRIVE
