The Department of English, one of the college's founding departments (est.), provides courses that help its students understand, and critically assess literary works that are written or translated into English across a variety of genres. It offers a variety of courses, including a Bachelors in Arts with honors in English and a B.A. with a multidisciplinary focus in English. Courses that are generic electives (GE). Courses to Improve Abilities (AECC). Courses for enhancing skills (SEC).

Blending theory with practice, the department enables the students to make constant inquiries around tradition and modernity alike and attempts to devise dynamic methods of teaching and learning.
